According to BOM, this summer is the driest one in 11 years and although that season is now behind us for another year, the dry season has unfortunately persevered. The Coastal team have been tending your properties as best we can in these conditions and although some plants are showing signs of distress, we will get them through until those rains come. After all, this is Victoria, famous for its 4 seasons in one day, so we all know that rain is coming. Perhaps, more of us need to wash our cars. It always rains immediately after I wash my car!
With the premise of rain looming, now is the ideal time to think about planting and re-planting. The team will be focusing on planting through May and early June and then in June and July, we will be transitioning to winter pruning and winter maintenance. In fact, it seems like Rob might have much more time on his hand this winter as his beloved Melbourne Demons do not seem to be providing much encouragement for him to attend their footy games. He is not browsing ski lodge brochures…yet. Here’s hoping the red and blues can rally before that happens.
Wishing you all a lovely Easter weekend and ANZAC day and safe travels if you are on the roads during those busy times.
April to do list:
Wash your car
Contact us with any planting plans you have so we can implement them in time for winter
